FOUR Chances to Connect with Amazing Students in ONE Week? Count us in!!

This week, GPA had the privilege of connecting with incredible students across not one, but four career development events.

To start off the week, GPA attended the @latechcoes Mocktails and Mingling event, connecting with engineering and science students through meaningful conversations and professional networking.

On Wednesday, GPA joined the @latechcareerctr Spring Career Fair, where we had the opportunity to meet students exploring future career paths and share more about life and growth at GPA.

Later that afternoon, our team went head to head with students at the @latechinnovation Partner Game Night. The evening was full of friendly competition, great snacks, a very intense round of Headbandz, and even better conversations.

To close out the week, GPA attended the @latechbusiness employer reception, where our administrative team connected with business students, shared insights into non technical career paths at GPA, and discussed how diverse skill sets support digital transformation across industries.

Events like these remind us why early connections matter. We are grateful for the chance to engage with the next generation of talent and look forward to continuing these conversations throughout the year. GO DAWGS!

Digital transformation is often introduced as a project. A system to implement, a dashboard to deploy, a timeline to meet. At first, this framing makes the effort feel manageable.

Most initiatives start with a real frustration. Reports take too long. Downtime feels higher than expected. Data exists across systems but never fully aligns. Eventually, a familiar question surfaces in a leadership meeting: why can’t we see what is really happening on the floor in a way that supports confident decisions?

That question becomes a project. Budgets are approved. Software is selected. Momentum builds as new screens come online and data begins to flow. For a time, it feels like progress has arrived.

Then the questions return. Why does this number look different than last month? Why does one line appear to perform well while still missing plan? Why are teams debating the data instead of acting on it?

Last week, GPA hosted a two-day @Exotek Peer Group Meeting in the Ruston office, bringing together senior leaders from seven system integration companies. Both onsite and remote participants contributed to open conversation about the state of the integration and industrial automation industry.
