GPA recently hosted its first Exotek Peer Group Meeting in the Ruston office. The two day event brought together senior leaders from seven system integration companies, with three attending onsite and others joining through videoconference. The sessions created space for open discussion and honest conversation about the state of the industry.

Early in the sessions, the group focused on how AI is entering integration businesses. Attendees compared internal policies and shared examples of where AI is working well, along with areas that require more caution. The discussion showed how quickly AI is moving from an idea to an active part of daily operations.

The second major topic centered on yearly business planning. Leaders explained how their organizations are preparing for the new year and how they review progress once plans are underway. The exchange offered a rare look at how different companies performed this year, how they structure their strategy, and how they adjust to changing customer needs.

Between sessions, the group toured Louisiana Tech University’s Integrated Engineering and Science Education Building. The visit highlighted the environment where many future automation and controls engineers begin their technical careers. Later, conversations continued at Landry Vineyards, where the setting helped participants connect on a more personal level.

Exotek Peer Groups are designed to support candid conversations that are not always possible inside a single company. These exchanges help participating organizations refine internal processes and better understand the pressures facing the wider integration community.
Events like this help integrators deliver stronger support to industrial customers. Shared insight strengthens service and planning across the industry. The Ruston meeting added meaningful value to the group’s continuing collaboration.
